Size 17″-
Habit & Habitat Gregarious and arboreal, only rarely descending to the ground. Affects well wooded country, commonly found in road side trees particularly Banyan tree and Peepal tree when in fruit. Also visits gardens even inside towns.
Description A stocky yellow, olive-green and ashy grey pigeon with a lilac patch on shoulders and a conspicuous yellow bar in the blackish wings. Yellow legs always diagnostic for this species.
